| 3rd Annual Hall of Fame Induction Huge Success - Sunday, April 11, 2010 at 17:21 |
On March 28th, North Catholic Soccer Alumni presented its third class before a sell out crowd at Romanos Caterers. The eight inductees were greated by family, friends and fans of North soccer. These eight men spanned the last 60 years of North soccer. The festivities were emceed by none other than Mr. Jim Green, Asst. Principal of Father Judge who was formerly a teacher at North plus its soccer coach in the early 1980s. Joining Jim, was legendary high school soccer coach, Mr. George Todt of Archbishop Ryan who was the keynote speaker. Mr. Todt, who actually grew up in Kensington before moving and attending Fr. Judge, spoke from the heart about building the Ryan program from scratch and using North Catholic as the model. He summed up his remarks by saying that his goal was to have the best program imaginable and to do that he used the "best" program ever as his template, North Catholic. From everyone of North Catholic Soccer Alumni, we salute these men and all the generations of players, alums and friends of the program. We are "Falcons Till We Die." |
